Portrait

Didier van Cauwelaert, 1960 in Nizza geboren, schreibt seit seiner Jugend. Seine Bücher wurden mit zahlreichen Literaturpreisen ausgezeichnet, für den Roman "Das Findelkind" erhielt er den Prix Goncourt. Seine Werke sind in über zwanzig Sprachen übersetzt. Auf Deutsch erschienen zuletzt sein Roman "Die Erscheinung" (2007) und "Die Jesus-Formel. Auf der Suche nach dem heiligen Gen" (2006). Der Autor lebt in Paris.
