The magazine has always been aiming to search for the best balance between space and content. It all started out in a small town near Regensburg with two school friends (Jochen Bauer & Peter Nitsch) at the age of 20/21. From the beginning we never imagined that we achieve this far - we dreamt that one day we would have an independent crossover magazine, featuring Skate- and Snowboarding. Getting things started, we had serious problems. We began with a 90 Mhz PC and a supermarket camera. The first issue crashed landed and we had no back up. After all this years we learned a lot. Seeing things in different ways, finding motivations and inspirations in the pictures and lyrics of our photographers and writers - and the power of collaboration and friendship. But above all itŽs important not to take things too serious as they might seem and not to have too much ego. Skate- and Snowboarding overtime evolved into a lifestyle. People were hungry for images - freeing the grey concrete and warming the cold snow. The Board became a medium of self-expression rather than a mean of transport and people took Boarding in a big and passionate way. With this book, "Playboard Magazine" is unlocking the archive and show you the collection of Boarding photographs and designs over the years for you to enjoy! ItŽs a collaboration between a group of people, who want to show you how they see and feel about Skate- and Snowboarding. Simply speaking »Keep the Kids« spirits in your souls always! Das Buch versteht sich als kreativer Bildband für Grafik- und Magazin-Designer. Es versammelt international erstklassige Fotografien und Layouts der vergangenen Ausgaben des »Playboard Magazine« im Bereich Skate- und Snowboard. Als fachmännisch kompiliertes »Skizzenbuch« eröffnet der Band eine sehr individuelle Sichtweise auf die Brettsportarten, ohne dabei aufdringlich oder trendig zu sein.
